How Much Should Window Shades Cost?

A realistic range for custom, big-box, and overstock pricing — without fake ‘was’ prices.

Custom is a different product

Made-to-measure bamboo or Roman shades often land in the $120–$400 range per window once you add liners, upgrades, and measuring fees. That can be worth it for odd sizes.

What we sell against

We price against comparable retail for the same or genuinely similar stock sizes — typically the $65–$130 shelf price — then sell in the $35–$80 band depending on width, brand, and condition.

A first-order coupon can bring a $49 shade closer to $39. Clearance may approach $25. We do not invent a $200 ‘original’ to make $49 look clever.
