How to Choose Window Shade Colors
Matching undertones to floors, walls, and trim without overthinking it.
Match the undertone, not the name
‘Natural’ can mean yellow, pink, or green depending on the lot. Compare to your floor. If the floor is cool gray oak, a honey bamboo can look orange. If the floor is warm walnut, gray woven wood can look dusty.
When in doubt
Go a shade lighter than the woodwork and a shade warmer than the wall. Windows recede; you want them quiet, not matching a sample chip exactly.
